The container will arrive on a truck/trailer that can tilt the bed up and place the rear edge of the container on the ground. The truck/trailer will then pull away and out from underneath the container, allowing the container to be slid off onto the ground. There absolutely must be enough room for the driver to legitimately get in and out of the delivery site, and while there, have room to safely maneuver. The majority of the time, we do all of our own deliveries. For a 40ft container and 20ft container (where there would be plenty of room) a truck & trailer would be used for delivery. For 20ft containers that would not have enough room for that option, a rollback tow truck would be used, which we can help arrange for the customer, or they can do that themselves if preferred. Pricing depends on how far out from the depot the delivery site would be.
We can assist our customers with arranging a date they can go to the depot, and pick up their purchased container. We strongly advise that you make sure you have proper equipment to pickup & deliver your container, to ensure safe and proper transport. Typically this would require having at least a 3/4 ton pickup and trailer long enough, and with a high enough GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) to safely handle the weight of your shipping container. You should also have 2-4 cargo straps (30ft) and ratchets (depending if it's a 20ft or 40ft container), or 2 chains (16ft-20ft) and 2 binders for proper securement. If you do not have a tilted trailer, please be sure you have proper equipment at your delivery site (skid steer, backhoe, excavator, forklift, crane, etc...) to assist with your offload. There is no charge for pick up.
